Go Green Wilmette is partnering with SkyDay, an online citizen artwork project, to get people outside and engaged in a global movement to protect the sky. Founded by Wilmette artist Ben Whitehouse, SkyDayProject creates an ever-changing online mosaic comprised of photographs of the sky.

Go Green Wilmette’s goal is 1,000 photos and submitting photos is fun. I submitted mine from Thanksgiving Day in Wilmette.  Submit photos of the sky (and only the sky) at skydayproject   and selecting the Go Green Wilmette gallery. It might be fun to organize a photo shoot with friends at your favorite spot. Be creative! There is no limit to the number of photos they can submit.

This is a global citizen art project that is connecting people from around the world to protect our sky. By participating in this project people are showing that they care about the environment. Go Green Wilmette is working with many local groups to take part in this exciting project. We are asking them to take pictures of the sky and upload them to the GGW sky gallery.

Go Green Wilmette’s photo gallery will premiere at the Going Green Matters fair on March 10, 2019.
