Stonefire Grill, a Southern California restaurant group with 13 locations spread across four counties—Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange and San Bernardino—is raising money for those affected by the recent wildfires.  Stonefire Grill will match donations of up to $10,000 collectively and will include a voucher for a free slice of its incredible carrot cake for anyone who makes an in-person donation on February 3 – National Carrot Cake Day.

All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region and be distributed through Round It Up America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization that provides the financial and legal compliance for for-profit businesses to collect donations for charities.

“We have locations throughout Southern California, including some very close to the wildfires,” said Stonefire Grill’s CEO David W. Youngberg. “We have been fortunate that none of our team members have personally experienced the loss of property or life. However, we know many of our guests have had to evacuate. We have been welcoming them to our locations to sit with their pets, charge their phones and process all that has happened recently. It’s absolutely heartbreaking.”

Stonefire Gril, which marks its 25th anniversary this year, will be feeding 200 people affected by the Eaton and Pacific Palisades fires at an off-site location this Friday.  In addition, the restaurant group has been supplying meals to the Salvation Army’s Evacuation Centers in Westwood, Pacoima and Woodland Hills. Some 10,000 Stonefire Grill gift cards have been donated and distributed to the tireless first responders working round-the-clock to contain the fires, rescue residents and save lives. All law enforcement and fire fighters can also enjoy a complimentary sit-down meal at any of Stonefire Grill’s locations, including at its sister restaurant Rattler’s Bar B Que in Santa Clarita.

“We have helped other communities in times of crisis, most recently on the island of Maui,” added Youngberg. “This one hits us here at home. We jumped in as soon as we could to help our neighbors, friends, firefighters, first responders and guests. There really are no words to describe the devastation, emotions and loss.”

Online and in-person monetary donations are being collected now with Stonefire Grill matching up to $10,000 collectively. In addition, anyone who stops by a Stonefire Grill location on February 3, National Carrot Cake Day, to make an in-person donation will also receive a voucher for a free slice of carrot cake. Stonefire Grill’s signature carrot cake has been a staple and guest favorite since the restaurant’s founding in 2000.
